Proper Care for all skin colors. At the 2018 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, the AAD pointed out that all skin of color patients who present to a dermatologist should be treated in a culturally competent manner with his or her problem diagnosed accurately and treated appropriately. Many lectures and some special sessions such “Skin of Color Boot Camp: What Every Dermatologist Should Know about the Patient With Darker Skin Tones” have been held during the meeting.
